Alum (aluminum sulphate) (AL2 (SO4) 3)<\/p>

Alum (aluminum sulphate), which is a salt, is a chemical compound with the formula (AL2 (SO4) 3) and is in the form of colorless crystals. It dissolves well in water. It is soluble in water and is mainly used as a coagulation agent (enhancing the collision of particles by Charge neutralization) in drinking water purification and wastewater treatment plants, as well as in the paper industry.
Alum is used in the field of drinking water purification as a flocculant, where it is added to the water and after its reaction, the harmful substances in the water will come to the surface, facilitating the process of removing them.
Aluminum sulfate is sometimes called alum, so the name alum is the most common and most widely used.<\/p>

Alum is manufactured in our dear country in the Ministry of Industry, due to the inability to meet the actual total need of all departments of the state from the local product, as it is imported from neighboring countries.
The alum manufacturing project is one of the important projects for the Baghdad Municipality and municipal departments because it provides this important material that is used as a basic material in water filtration and purification stations designated for drinking water.
Such a project would reduce the country’s dependence on importing this material from abroad, which would contribute to employing the workforce and saving foreign currencies.
From this standpoint, Shams Al-Hayat General Trade Company Limited presented and completed its project to establish Al-Hayat Laboratory to produce alum in Iraq \/ Wasit Governorate for the purpose of filling the need of the Baghdad Municipality Department and the municipal departments for this important material.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t
